MoxiTox at Nurturher Aesthetics combines a full face Moxi laser treatment with 20 units of topical Xeomin. Instead of injecting the Xeomin into the muscles, it’s applied topically to the skin as part of your Moxi treatment. If Moxi is already one of your favorites, or you’ve been thinking about trying it, here’s what you should know about adding topical tox to your treatment.

First, A Quick Moxi Refresh

Moxi is a gentle, non-ablative fractional laser treatment that helps improve the overall tone and texture of the skin. We love it for concerns like pigmentation, sun damage, uneven texture, and early signs of aging. It’s also a great treatment for anyone who wants to stay ahead of changes in their skin. You do not need to have major skin concerns to benefit from Moxi. Sometimes the goal is simply maintaining healthy, fresh looking skin at any age.

How Is Topical Tox Different?

With traditional tox, Xeomin is injected into specific muscles to help soften lines caused by facial movement. With MoxiTox, we’re not treating the muscles. The Xeomin is used topically following the Moxi laser, making it an add-on to the skin treatment rather than a replacement for your usual injectable tox. That’s an important distinction. You can still get your regular tox. This is just a different way we’re incorporating Xeomin into a treatment that’s focused on the skin.

Why Pair Topical Tox With Moxi?

This is where the combination comes in. Moxi creates tiny treatment zones in the skin as part of the fractional laser process. Does Topical Tox Replace Injectable Tox?

No and we think this is one of the most important things to know before booking! If you love what injectable tox does for your forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet, or other areas of facial movement, keep your tox appointment. Topical tox during Moxi serves a different purpose. One doesn’t necessarily replace the other, and your provider can help you decide how each treatment fits into your routine.

What Should I Expect After MoxiTox?

Your downtime will look similar to what you’d expect after a Moxi treatment. Your skin may be pink or feel warm immediately afterward. Over the next few days, it can develop a dry, rough, almost sandpaper like texture (known as mends)  as your skin goes through the post treatment process. We’ll send you home with aftercare instructions so you know exactly what to use, what to skip, and when you can return to your normal skincare routine.
